We are very pleased to announce that, as of July 30, Quebec has become the first Canadian province to officially list ANDEMBRY® on its public drug formulary, providing eligible patients with access to this new preventive treatment for hereditary angioedema (HAE).
ANDEMBRY® is now reimbursed according to the reimbursement criteria recommended by INESSS:
- For the prevention of hereditary angioedema (HAE) attacks in patients 12 years of age or older with Type I or Type II HAE who experience attacks that significantly interfere with their daily activities.
- Initial authorization is granted for a maximum period of 6 months.
- For renewal requests, the prescribing physician must provide evidence of a beneficial treatment effect (for example, a reduction in the number of HAE attacks).
- Renewal authorizations are granted for a maximum period of 12 months.
- Coverage for garadacimab includes one initial 400 mg dose, followed by 200 mg administered once monthly.
- Garadacimab is not authorized for use in combination with another prophylactic HAE therapy.
This first provincial listing represents a major milestone toward broader access to ANDEMBRY® across Canada and reflects CSL’s commitment to expanding treatment options for people living with hereditary angioedema.
